The Temperature Sensor Module combines a 12-bit Temperature Sensor with a Real-Time Clock (RTC) IC and an embedded 32.768 kHz XTAL inside a miniature SMD ceramic package.
- Ultra low power consumption: 160 nA
- Temperature precision and accuracy: ±1°C (-40°C to +85°C)
- High time accuracy: ± 2.5 ppm, ± 0.216 s/day
- Small package and low profile: 3.2 x 1.5 x 0.8 mm
- Extended temperature range up to +105°C including AEC-Q200
Beside a ± 1.0 °C precise and accurate high-resolution Temperature Sensor with programmable temperature window detection interrupt and timestamp, it includes standard Real-Time Clock (RTC) functions like Calendar (100th of second through (leap-) year), Timer & Alarm, smart power management functions and User EEPROM & RAM.
Factory calibrated temperature compensation of embedded 32.768 kHz crystal resonator provides ± 2.5 ppm accuracy from -40° to 85°C (±1.5 ppm 0° to 50°C; equivalent to ±0.13 sec/day and ±20 ppm +85° to +105°C). It allows extended battery life through timekeeping current as low as 160 nA over a large range (1.3 V to 5.5 V) of operating voltage.
External event detection interrupt with time stamp combined with programmable password, offers security solutions against fraud and hacking.
Ultra-small footprint and compact size with reliable vacuum-sealed metal lid provides all advantages of SMT fully integrated and easily implementable device for miniature and cost sensitive high volume applications.
