Interplex’s CAP-LOC System is a solderless mounting system for electrolytic capacitors that eliminates the secondary processes of soldering, adhesives, or clamps commonly used to make the electrical and mechanical connections to PCB’s. This capacitor mounting system is design to withstand the rigors of automotive applications and other mobility type products.

Interplex’s CAP-LOC System Features a completely solderless interconnection system with proven 0.8mm press-fits for superior retention and electrical conductivity. The technology also accommodates diameter and length tolerances of the capacitor.

The CAP-LOC possesses a high-force mechanical capacitor clamp (low mass plastic) with a high normal force electrical connection to capacitor leads. There is minimal stress relaxation on spring contact and minimal lead deformation or coating damage. No conductive components touch capacitor body.

The four-sided capture of capacitor leads are designed for 18mm Ø capacitor body also has an easy assembly system.
CAP-LOC‘s Open Back Design accommodates various capacitor lengths, provides visibility of polarity markings and is length-tolerance compliant. The center of gravity is within plastic (40mm Cap).
